About the Job

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and detail-oriented individual to work with a talented team of professionals in the field of radiology. As an Imaging Specialist, you will be responsible for performing radiographic examinations with minimal supervision under the direction of the Radiologist. Your primary goal will be to coordinate daily activities to include performing examinations and associated clerical duties.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform and assist with radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures: You will be working closely with patients to ensure that they are properly positioned and comfortable during the examination. This may involve using various equipment and techniques to obtain high-quality images.
  • Document patient history and medical information: You will be responsible for accurately documenting patient information, including medical history, allergies, and any relevant test results. This information will be used to inform the Radiologist's diagnosis and treatment plan.
  • Confirm patient identification and verify proof of identity: You will need to confirm the patient's identity and verify their proof of identity to ensure accurate and safe care.
  • Prepare and administer contrast media as required: In some cases, you may be required to prepare and administer contrast media to enhance image quality or to facilitate specific procedures.
  • Consult with Radiologists and other physicians as necessary: You will be working closely with Radiologists and other physicians to ensure that patients receive the best possible care. This may involve discussing patient information, treatment plans, and diagnostic findings.
  • Maintain accurate records and adhere to departmental standards: You will be responsible for maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of patient interactions, examinations, and test results. This will help ensure that patients receive consistent and high-quality care.
Requirements
  • Educational Background: You must have completed a formal Radiology Technology Program in an AMA-approved facility.
  • Certifications: You must be registered by the ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) or be registry-eligible and registered within one year of hire date.
  • Experience: One year of direct patient care work experience is preferred, but not required.
