Job Title: Senior Project Manager - Water Services

CDM Smith is seeking a highly experienced Senior Project Manager to lead the delivery of water services projects in the North Central region. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing and serving as the lead Project Manager for wastewater, water, stormwater, conveyance, and general municipal engineering projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and serve as the lead Project Manager for wastewater, water, stormwater, conveyance, and general municipal engineering projects.
  • Provide technical guidance, senior leadership, and mentoring engineering staff to enhance our water services design capabilities.
  • Be responsible for planning and execution of scope, schedule, and budget for projects managed.
  • Complete Quality Assurance/Quality Control reviews of key deliverables.
  • Assist Client Service Leaders with technical marketing by meeting with clients in the region.
  • Participate in professional societies relevant to the industry.
  • Build and maintain positive working relationships with key decision makers in our clients' organizations.
  • Perform technical engineering project work.
  • Provide excellent client service that generates repeat business.
  • Support proposal development and participate in interviews for new projects you will help deliver.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree.
  • 7 years of related experience.
  • PMP (PMI), CCM, or DBIA certification is required (within 12 months of hire or promotion onto the Approved Project Manager list).
  • Domestic and/or international travel may be required.
  • Equivalent additional directly related experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in civil, environmental, or chemical engineering or related discipline.
  • Michigan Professional Engineering (PE) license.
  • Previous experience managing multi-discipline project teams.
  • Excellent communication, networking, and team building skills.
  • Previous experience working directly with clients.
  • Previous business development experience including preparation of proposals, scopes of work, and cost estimates for municipal clients.
