Heavy Engineering Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Heavy Engineering Specialist to join our team at Crofton Industries. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the timely and cost-effective execution of projects, working closely with project managers, superintendents, and other stakeholders.
The estimated salary for this role is $90,000 - $140,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications. As a Heavy Engineering Specialist, you will be responsible for:
- Providing technical support to project teams, assisting with the preparation and maintenance of construction documents, drawings, and specifications
- Inspecting and testing equipment, materials, and systems to ensure compliance with project requirements and industry standards
- Assisting with the development and implementation of quality control plans, monitoring progress against established benchmarks and metrics
- Collaborating with project managers to identify and mitigate potential risks, developing and implementing mitigation strategies as necessary
- Maintaining accurate records of inspections, testing, and quality control activities, reporting any defects or discrepancies to project managers and stakeholders
To be successful in this role, you will require:
- Strong technical knowledge of heavy engineering principles, practices, and procedures
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, ability to think critically and creatively
- Effective communication and collaboration skills, ability to work well in a team environment
- Proficiency with MS Office, Word, Excel, and Bluebeam, AutoCAD or MS Project
A degree in engineering or a related field is desired, but experience in lieu of education will be considered. A background in heavy engineering and experience with quality control processes are essential.
