Position Overview:
- All roles are based in Fresno/Clovis CA
- We are seeking a Registered Nurse to be a vital part of our patient flow team. In this capacity, you will operate within the Command Center, which serves as the central hub for all patient flow activities. Your collaboration with both internal and external medical professionals, supervisors, and leadership will be essential in ensuring the safe and efficient transfer of patients to suitable inpatient rooms or other designated areas within the hospital.
Community Regional Medical Center stands as the largest among our three primary hospitals and is recognized as the flagship facility of the Central Valley, boasting over 685 beds on a single campus. Our academic-affiliated, Level 1 Trauma Center is situated on a 58-acre site in downtown Fresno, featuring one of California's largest and busiest emergency departments, alongside a comprehensive burn center. We cater to a population of 2.5 million across 9 counties, with an average daily patient census of 641.

Key Responsibilities:
In this role, you will be expected to:
Assess and prioritize incoming transfer requests in accordance with EMTALA regulations, Level 1 Trauma protocols, and CMC transfer center guidelines.
Evaluate patient data and relay a precise assessment of the patient's condition to CMC Providers for transfer approval.
~ Oversee inpatient bed availability and prioritize requests based on CMC bed management algorithms.
Qualifications:
Experience and
Educational Requirements:
A minimum of two years of acute care experience as a Registered Nurse.
A valid RN license for the state of California and BLS certification are required.
Preferred Qualifications:
Three or more years of experience in Registered Nursing across various Inpatient and Emergency Department specialties.
Familiarity with EMTALA, call center operations, patient throughput, direct admissions, and patient transfers.
