Job Summary:

We are seeking an Adjunct Faculty member to teach in our online Bachelor of Design: Interior Design program. The successful candidate will provide instruction for undergraduate students, collaborate with program leadership and other faculty, and hold office hours once a week for the duration of the class.

Responsibilities:
  • Hold instructional class sessions once a week for 8-week terms
  • Collaborate and coordinate with program leadership and other faculty
  • Hold office hours once a week for the duration of the class
  • Provide core instruction to satisfy primary learning objectives of course
  • Provide timely feedback on and assessment of student work
  • Work directly with the curriculum team
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in interior design, art and design, interior architecture or another related field
  • 5 years of related professional experience
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in a related field
  • 10 years of related professional experience
  • Teaching experience at a college level

Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

•Work environment: While performing the duties of the job, the employee is exposed to weather conditions prevalent at the time. The noise level in the work environment is usually minimal.

•Required MICA training: Handbook orientation, Anti-Harassment, Hazard Communication, Emergency Plans & Fire Prevention, Personal Protection Equipment.
