**Job Summary**

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Designer to join our team at Form Energy, Inc. as a Building Mechanical Designer. This role involves designing, developing, and implementing mechanical systems for industrial buildings, ensuring compliance with codes and standards, and collaborating with architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to deliver efficient and effective building systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design Development: Create detailed mechanical designs for HVAC, plumbing, and other systems using REVIT software, developing system layouts, equipment specifications, and installation details that meet project requirements and industry standards.
  • Technical Analysis: Perform calculations and simulations to ensure the mechanical systems are energy-efficient, cost-effective, and compliant with relevant building codes and regulations.
  • Collaboration and Coordination: Work closely with architects, structural engineers, and other design professionals to integrate mechanical systems seamlessly into building designs, participating in design meetings and providing technical input to address design challenges and ensure project objectives are met.
  • Documentation and Compliance: Prepare and review technical documentation, including drawings, specifications, and reports, ensuring all designs and installations comply with applicable codes, standards, and best practices.
  • Project Support: Provide support during construction phases, including responding to RFI (Requests for Information), reviewing shop drawings, and conducting site inspections to ensure proper installation and system performance.

Requirements:

  • Experience in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Design, or a related field.
  • Professional experience in mechanical design for building systems, with a strong portfolio demonstrating relevant projects.
  • Proficiency in REVIT software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit) and mechanical design tools.
  • In-depth knowledge of building codes, standards, and industry best practices related to HVAC, plumbing, and other systems.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to perform complex calculations and analyses.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
