Job Overview

Boise Cascade Company is a leading manufacturer of wood products and distributor of building materials with over five decades of experience. We are seeking a skilled Lead Truck Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering and distributing building products to assigned customers while ensuring safe loading, handling, and transportation of materials and heavy cargo.

About the Role

The Lead Truck Driver will drive a tractor/trailer combination to destination, adhering to commercial driving regulations and demonstrating skill in maneuvering the vehicle in difficult situations. Key responsibilities include completing necessary paperwork, relaying customer inquiries or complaints to supervisors, inspecting the truck for defects or problems, and maintaining accurate logs and records according to DOT regulations.

Requirements

  • A valid Class A commercial driver's license (CDL) and ability to safely operate transportation equipment
  • Two years of truck driving experience required, with flatbed experience preferred
  • Working knowledge of DOT regulations and meeting BC driver qualifications
  • Demonstrating strong commitment to safety, quality, environmental awareness, and continuous process improvement
