Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Pediatric Registered Nurse to join our team at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center. As a Pediatric Registered Nurse, you will provide excellent patient care to patients in our Pediatric Care Unit and Pediatric Intensive Care units. You will also offer support to the parents, with a focus on emotional encouragement and education.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver evidenced-based and family-centered patient care to patients aged birth to 18 years in the Pediatric and Pediatric Intensive Care Unit.
  • Perform life-sustaining care for pediatric patients in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit.
  • Evaluate and document each patient's response to interventions and respond quickly and accurately to changes in patient condition.
  • Administer medications and emergency medications based on the patient's age and clinical condition.
  • Work closely with department leadership and physicians to coordinate treatment plans and examinations.
  • Educate parents on day-to-day operations, treatment plans, and at-home care procedures.
  • Identify and address psychosocial needs of patients and families, and communicate with social service/discharge planners regarding in-hospital and post-discharge needs.
Requirements
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification within 90 days of employment start date.
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of employment start date.
  • Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course (ENPC) certification within 1 year of employment start date.
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification within 90 days of employment start date.
  • Registered Nurse (RN) licensure.
  • Associate Degree or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.
  • Experience as a RN with a passion for working with the pediatric population and their families.
