Resident Physician

Nuvance Health is a leading healthcare provider with a network of hospitals and outpatient locations across Connecticut and New York. As a Resident Physician in our Surgical Education program, you will have the opportunity to work with a talented team of healthcare professionals and contribute to the delivery of high-quality patient care.
Responsibilities- Develop a personal program of self-study and professional growth with guidance from our experienced faculty.
- Participate in safe, effective, and compassionate patient care under supervision, commensurate with your level of advancement and responsibility.
- Contribute to the educational and scholarly activities of our program, including teaching and supervising other residents and students.
- Participate in institutional programs and activities involving the medical staff and adhere to established practices, procedures, and policies of the institution.
- Engage in activities that promote a healthy work-life balance and support a positive attitude towards the physician's role.
- Maintain and model the REACH Values (Respect, Excellence, Accountability, Compassion, Honor) in all aspects of your work.
- Must be a formally accepted resident in our graduate medical education program.
- Must have an adult learner mentality, a devotion to lifelong learning, and a passion for delivering excellent care to the population served.
- Must be able to work effectively in a team environment and communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
This is a full-time position with a standard schedule of 40 hours per week. The work schedule is Monday through Friday, 7am-7pm. The position requires some manual skills, motor coordination, and finger dexterity, as well as some exposure to dirt, odors, noise, and human waste.
