Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Clinical Assistant to join our team at Marion Family Medicine. As a Clinical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our healthcare team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Function as a clinician, educator, and resource for patients, both in person and via the patient portal.
- Prepare patients for provider visits, including history taking, vital sign measurement, and medication reconciliation.
- Provide timely and accurate documentation in the patient's electronic health record using standardized workflows and processes.
- Preauthorize care, procedures, and medications with insurance companies.
- Coordinate care and testing needs for patients.
- Complete necessary forms for referrals and FMLA.
Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited program for Medical Assistants or equivalent work experience if NHA* certified.
- Current CMA Certification.
- High school diploma.
- BLS and Mandatory Reporter certification.
- Knowledge of clinical skill techniques, procedures, medical diagnoses, and treatments.
- Effective communication skills (written and verbal).
- A positive and team-oriented attitude.
- Ability to assist providers in a professional manner.
