Key Responsibilities- Perform patient assessments, develop individualized plans of care, and implement and evaluate care to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and ensure seamless transitions.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to provide clear and concise information.
- Monitor patient hemodynamic status and interpret cardiac rhythms to inform care decisions.
- Consult with other departments as needed to provide comprehensive patient care.
- Supervise and coordinate patient care as necessary to ensure efficient and effective delivery of services.
- 1-3 years of clinical nursing experience as a Registered Nurse (RN)
- Able to recognize cardiac rhythms – preferred
- Associate's degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited nursing program
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) – preferred
- Current State of Texas Registered Nurse (RN) license or Compact Registered Nursing License. If Compact License Texas license must be obtained within 90 days of hire
- Basic Life Support (BLS) required as per St. David's Healthcare policy
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification – required within 90 days of hire
Heart Hospital of Austin is a 58-bed hospital that specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular disease. We are one of the highest performing cardiovascular facilities in the nation and feature a comprehensive 24-hour emergency department. Our six operating rooms, including three hybrid ORs, serve the city of Austin, and we have three catheterization labs and electrophysiology services.
