Key Responsibilities- Program Development and Implementation
- Design and deliver tutoring programs, homework assistance, and reading enrichment activities that meet the needs of our youth members.
- Develop and maintain relationships with local schools and community organizations to ensure alignment with our programs and services.
- Program Administration
- Manage and maintain program records, including attendance, progress, and evaluation data.
- Develop and implement strategies to promote program participation and engagement.
- Staff Supervision and Support
- Supervise and support program staff, including tutors and volunteers, to ensure high-quality program delivery.
- Provide guidance and training to staff on program best practices and youth development principles.
- Community Engagement
- Develop and maintain relationships with local community organizations, schools, and businesses to promote our programs and services.
- Identify and pursue opportunities for partnerships and collaborations that support our mission and goals.
- Education
- Bachelor's Degree with a valid State of Florida teaching certificate or National Teaching Accreditation.
- Experience
- Minimum 2 years of experience in teaching, tutoring, or youth development.
- Proven track record of developing and implementing effective programs and services for youth.
- Skills and Abilities
- Strong knowledge of youth development principles and best practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
This position works 2.5 to 3 hours per day, Monday through Friday, between the hours of 2:00 PM and 7:00 PM. Work is conducted indoors.
Physical and Mental Requirements- Ability to sit, stand, and walk for long periods of time.
- Ability to lift up to 20 pounds on occasion.
- Ability to maintain a high energy level when necessary.
