Job Summary

This position is responsible for providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a positive experience for patrons at the Air Mobility Command's bar. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mixology and be able to create a wide variety of cocktails and beverages.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate a full-service bar, mixing and serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks to order, following established recipes.
  • Deliver drinks to bar waiters or serve directly to patrons, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Receive payments or charge to member's account as appropriate, handling cash and operating a cash register.
  • Wash glasses and other bar equipment, maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
  • Prepare garnishes for mixed drinks and assist with stocking service bar or portable bar for catered functions.
  • Responsible for the proper operation of the bar, including receipts and inventory accountability.
Requirements
  • Must have experience mixing alcoholic beverages for retail sale, including knowledge of a wide variety of beverages and ability to combine ingredients.
  • Must be able to recognize intoxicated or unruly patrons and resolve the problem or seek assistance if needed.
  • Must be able to follow cash handling procedures and maintain a high level of accuracy.
  • Must be physically able to frequently lift objects weighing 5 to 15 pounds, pull and push objects weighing 10 to 20 pounds, and occasionally lift up to and over 40 pounds.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and possess skill in dealing with public.
Working Conditions

This position requires working in a fast-paced environment, frequently standing or walking for prolonged periods of time. The ability to lift and move heavy objects is also required.

Education and Certifications

A high school diploma or equivalent is required. A Food Handler's Certificate and/or completion of food handler's training is also required.
