Job Title: CT Technologist

ChristianaCare is seeking a skilled CT Technologist to join our team in Deepwater, New Jersey.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to perform all phases of CT scan testing, working with hospital in-patients and outpatients in accordance with established procedures and protocols of the department and under the direction of the Radiologist.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform CT scan testing, including preparation of patients, operation of CT scanner units, and administration of contrast media under physician's supervision.
  • Verify insurance pre-authorization as defined by departmental protocols prior to scanning patients.
  • Assist in the learning process of students and new staff in department procedures, quality control, and radiation safety.
  • Administer all contrast media under physician's supervision.
  • Ability to assess patient for adverse reactions and/or changes in patient status.
  • Perform i-STAT testing and accurate calculation of GFR following established departmental policies and procedures.
  • Provide care appropriate to neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients, including knowledge of growth and development.
  • Perform assigned work safely, adhering to established departmental safety rules and practices.
Requirements:
  • Completion of ARRT registry in CT Scan required.
  • Licensed by State of Delaware on Radiation Protection.
  • Associates Degree in Radiologic Technology preferred.
  • Completion of the CT Registry exam is a job requirement.
