Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Healthcare Professional to join our team at the York City School District. As a key member of our Student Support Services team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the health and well-being of our students.

Responsibilities
  • Provide basic first aid and emergency care to students as needed.
  • Conduct health screenings and assessments to identify potential health issues.
  • Develop and maintain accurate and up-to-date health records for all students.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school staff to ensure students receive necessary medical attention.
  • Inventory and manage health supplies, ensuring a safe and healthy environment for students.
  • Consult with students and families to make appropriate referrals for medical services.
  • Assist with mandated school dental exams and physical exams.
  • Conduct testing, including growth, auditory, vision, and scoliosis screenings.
Requirements
  • RN or LPN status required.
  • Current certificate in Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation and Basic First Aid.
  • Demonstrated organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to interact with others in a professional and respectful manner.
  • Act 34 Clearance, Act 151 Clearance, FBI Clearance (self-paid).
  • Drug Screening (self-paid).
  • Act 126 & Act 71 Training Certifications.
