Job Summary:

Speech-language pathologists play a vital role in preventing, assessing, diagnosing, and treating speech, language, social communication, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders in children and adults. As a Speech Language Pathologist - Acute Care Specialist, you will work in a busy environment evaluating patients with dysphagia, dysarthria, aphasia, and cognitive linguistic dysfunction. Your primary duties will include patient evaluation, education, and training, as well as home program development. You will work as part of a multidisciplinary team to provide excellent patient care.

Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate patients with dysphagia, dysarthria, aphasia, and cognitive linguistic dysfunction
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
  • Provide education and training to patients, families, and staff
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Valid and current license
  • 2+ years' experience in acute care environment evaluating and treating patients with speech language or swallowing disorders
