Key Responsibilities

POSITION OBJECTIVE:

Execute fundamental welding tasks, including fit-up and track welding, with the capability to handle a diverse range of weldment configurations.

PRIMARY DUTIES:

  • Perform welding using M-I-G techniques.
  • Exhibit proficiency in cutting with a hand torch.
  • Interpret blueprints accurately.
  • Assess critical dimensions and tolerances utilizing measuring instruments.
  • Understand and follow blueprints and process routings.
  • Adhere to established safety and quality protocols.
  • Collaborate within a team environment, demonstrating flexibility to shift between tasks as needed.
  • Provide assistance to colleagues when required.

Qualifications and Skills Required:

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Previous experience or vocational training in wire feed welding (MIG or TIG).
  • Preferred vocational training in welding.
  • Experience in metal part fabrication, cutting, or welding.
  • Proven skills in wire feed welding, specifically MIG or TIG.
  • Familiarity with a production setting that demands self-management of workloads.
  • Ability to pass a preliminary welding test during the interview process and achieve AWS D1.1 Code welding certification within 60 days of employment.

Additional Position Specifications:

  • Tools and equipment utilized include M-I-G and T-I-G welders, torch, tape measure, hammer, hoist, and weld fixtures.
