Estimated Salary

The estimated salary for this position is $85,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.

Job Description

We are seeking a School Psychologist to provide a range of psychological services to support the emotional, social, and academic development of students in K-12 schools. The ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge of psychological assessments, interventions, and best practices in a school setting.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments and evaluations for students
  2. Provide counseling, behavioral interventions, and crisis response
  3. Develop individualized education plans (IEPs) and collaborate in multidisciplinary meetings
  4. Consult with teachers and staff to promote academic and behavioral success
  5. Assist in developing school-wide programs to promote mental health and a positive school climate
  6. Monitor student progress and adjust interventions as necessary
  7. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and district guidelines

Required Skills and Qualifications

  1. Masters or Doctorate degree in School Psychology or a related field
  2. Valid Virginia School Psychologist certification (or eligibility for certification)
  3. Strong knowledge of psychological assessments, interventions, and best practices in a school setting
  4. Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  5. Ability to work effectively with a diverse student population and team
  6. Previous experience working with children in a school or clinical setting (preferred)
