Job Summary

The Medical University of South Carolina is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Sleep Technologist to join our team. As a Sleep Technologist, you will be responsible for performing Nocturnal Polysomnograms, Multiple Sleep Latency studies, and CPAP titrations using specialized equipment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assume responsibility and accountability for patients in the department and provide care through assessment, observation, and documentation.
  • Perform routine patient assessments, score sleep records, document test results, and collect and transmit biological specimens for analysis.
  • Administer sleep studies under the direction of a physician to diagnose sleep disorders.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient information and study results.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Current BLS certification or obtained during introductory period.
  • Maintain AASM Registry (submit 50 CEU's every 5 years).
