The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing individualized education programs (IEPs) and providing specialized instruction to students with diverse learning needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan, prepare, and deliver lesson plans that cater to the unique needs of students with exceptionalities.
  • Develop and implement IEPs and Individual Learning Plans (ILPs) that align with state and federal regulations.
  • Collaborate with general education teachers and related services staff to provide comprehensive support to students.
  • Assess student progress and adjust instruction to meet individual needs.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and guardians to ensure a collaborative approach to student education.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports, including IEPs, ILPs, and progress monitoring data.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in special education.
Requirements:
  • Valid Georgia Educator Certificate or eligibility for certification.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
  • Physical ability to perform tasks involving standing, walking, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
