Job Summary:
Christiana Care Health System is seeking a skilled Cardiovascular Nurse Specialist to join our team in the Cardiovascular Stepdown Unit. As a Cardiovascular Nurse Specialist, you will provide high-quality patient care to patients with cardiac cath, angioplasty, cardiac dysrhythmia, myocardial infarction, and vascular surgical patients.
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care to patients with complex cardiovascular conditions
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans
- Monitor and manage patient vital signs and respond to changes in patient condition
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction
Requirements:
- BSN required; commitment to obtaining a BSN within three years of the date of hire
- One year of nursing experience required
- One year of med/surgical experience preferred
- BLS required; ACLS preferred
