Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled MRI Technologist to join our team at UNC Medical Center. As an MRI Technologist, you will be responsible for conducting procedures and tests using MRI equipment to acquire and analyze patient diagnostic data.

Key Responsibilities
  • Verify patient identification and obtain patient history
  • Operate MRI scanners and administer contrast agents
  • Interpret protocols and select appropriate scanning parameters
  • Transmit images to QC, UNCH's EMR, EPIC, and PACS
  • Perform other duties as required, including precepting new employees and students
Requirements
  • Completion of an accredited educational program in Radiological Science or completion within 3 months at time of application
  • Registration with the American Registry of Radiological Sciences or registry eligible
  • Advanced certification in MR within one year of employment
  • Successful candidates must become registered within one year of employment and maintain their registry status and continuing education requirements annually
Work Environment

This is a full-time position with a standard work schedule of 40 hours per week. The work assignment type is onsite, and the work schedule is night shift.
