Job Summary

Edmond Public Schools is seeking a reliable and safety-conscious individual to fill the role of Bus Monitor. As a key member of our transportation team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe transportation of students to and from school.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the bus driver in maintaining a safe and orderly environment on the bus
  • Help young or disabled students with boarding and exiting the bus
  • Monitor student behavior and maintain discipline on the bus
  • Perform administrative tasks, such as maintaining records and reporting incidents
  • Drive school buses as a substitute when needed, following all safety protocols
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Acceptable Annual Motor Vehicle Record
  • Current Bus Driver's Certificate and Class B CDL with Passenger and Air Brake Endorsement
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret written materials
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Working Conditions

The Bus Monitor will work primarily on school buses, with occasional work in the school office or other district facilities. The position requires the ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 pounds, and work in a fast-paced environment.
