Clinical Nurse (RN) Job Description

The University of Kansas Hospital seeks skilled Clinical Nurses to join our team in Medical Telemetry/Adult Cystic Fibrosis unit. This medical-surgical inpatient unit cares for adult patients with a variety of diagnoses, specializing in the care of patients with Cystic Fibrosis.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide professional nursing care through assessment and accurate documentation, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation for patient comfort and well-being.
  • Carry out a plan of care specific to unit competencies for the target patient population.
  • Coordinate care delivery and education through collaboration with patients, families, and healthcare team providers to ensure safe, effective, and quality patient care.
Requirements:

To be successful as a Clinical Nurse at The University of Kansas Hospital, you must have an Associate's Degree in Nursing. For ADN prepared nurses hired after February 24, 2017, you must complete a BSN degree by the fifth anniversary of employment as an RN. You must also possess a Registered Nurse license in the State of Kansas or compact license, along with BLS certification or obtained within 14 days of hire.

Preferred Qualifications:

A Bachelor's Degree in Nursing is preferred.

Salary Information:

We offer a competitive salary for this role, estimated at $75,000 per year based on industry standards and experience. Salary may vary depending on location and qualifications.
