We are seeking a highly skilled Physician to join our team at Southern Indiana Comprehensive Treatment Center. As a Physician, you will be responsible for providing medical services to patients, including prescribing, dispensing, and administering medication for the treatment of substance abuse.
Key Responsibilities- Provide medical care to patients, including prescribing, dispensing, and administering medication for the treatment of substance abuse.
- Conduct physical exams on patients to establish medical diagnosis for acute and chronic health problems.
- Review medical information on patients to ensure medical stability, eligibility for program, and to offer medical recommendations.
- Evaluate patient care, adjusting the plan of care based on outcomes, diagnostic test results, and patient feedback.
- Provide patient and staff education on medical maintenance.
- Review and complete medical information for individual care plans, documenting services and information in a timely manner, maintaining appropriate confidential documentation, compliance, and billing in accordance with policy and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, CARF standards, and clinic policy and procedure.
- Licensed Physician in the state of Indiana.
- Experience in addiction treatment not required.
- Current license to practice medicine by the state in which the clinic(s) operates.
- Current DEA credentials required to prescribe controlled substances without restrictions and per regulation within the state in which the practitioner will be working.
