Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Vascular Technologist to join our team at NorthShore University HealthSystem. As a Vascular Technologist, you will be responsible for performing non-invasive vascular exams independently, adhering to ICAVL standards. You will also serve as a mentor for Tech 1, providing hands-on training and supervision.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform vascular testing independently, adhering to ICAVL standards.
  • Arterial imaging, venous imaging, and carotid imaging.
  • Record preliminary findings in patient charts and provide legible, concise reports.
  • Communicate with physicians and nurses regarding exam results and patient care.
  • Assist with daily operations, including scheduling, phone duties, and supply ordering.
  • Participate in ongoing learning and training, including CAVA conferences and equipment operation.
  • Maintain equipment and notify management of mechanical issues.
  • Collaborate with physicians and management on delegated duties and ICAVL accreditation.
Requirements
  • Diploma or vocational degree in vascular technology or a related field.
  • At least 2 years of experience in a hospital setting, with a focus on vascular technology.
  • Graduate of an accredited ultrasound/vascular tech program and RVT certification or eligibility.
