Job Overview

The ideal candidate will oversee the self-administration of medications for residential clients while ensuring compliance with regulations and documenting supporting records.

This role presents an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, fostering collaboration with our dedicated team members to provide exceptional patient care.

Responsibilities
  • Safeguard and monitor the self-administration of approved client medications in accordance with regulatory requirements.
  • Act as a liaison between Social Services Manager or Director of Nursing for medication approvals.
  • Record incoming medications in the inventory log and ensure approval before distribution.
  • Monitor clients' ongoing medical issues and report changes to the Social Services Manager.
  • Report medication responses to the physician via the Social Services Department.
  • Alert the Social Services Manager about any client illnesses, accidents, injuries, or medical concerns.
  • Complete the Daily Medication Review Audit and update clients' medication records.
  • Document medication handling notes and care coordination records within the designated timeframe.
  • Perform other related duties assigned by the Director of Nursing.
Requirements
  • Excellent computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong organizational, follow-up, and time management abilities.
  • Ability to type at least 40 wpm.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Bilingual (English / Spanish) and ability to work well within a team structure.
