Position Title:
Medical Assistant

Compensation:
$17-$18/hr based on experience

Employment Type:
Contract to Hire

Work Schedule:
Full-Time, 8-hour shifts. No weekends. Travel to different locations may be required.

Working Hours:
Hours will vary between 7:45 AM – 4:45 PM on certain days, and 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM or 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM on others.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Organize and prepare patient charts, documenting vital signs, weight, and any updates to medical history before appointments.
2. Set up examination rooms for procedures and patient visits.
3. Assist the clinical team with patient interactions and office processes.
4. Exhibit strong phlebotomy skills for laboratory draws and administer injections under supervision.
5. Manage orders for laboratory tests, imaging, and medications.
6. Address patient clinical inquiries and relay information to the nurse or provider.
7. Conduct patient check-ins and check-outs for healthcare providers.

Qualifications:
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)

Experience:
1. Vital signs: Minimum of 2 years (required)
2. Certified Medical Assistant (CMA): 2 years (preferred)
3. Experience with EMR systems: 2 years (required)

Certifications:
Basic Life Support (BLS): Preferred
