About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic to join our team at RTX. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our plant equipment and facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain and repair plant machinery and facilities equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.
  • Control and monitor equipment performance to identify potential issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Repair or fabricate parts using standard machine shop equipment to meet production needs.
  • Isolate faults and troubleshoot electrical or mechanical problems to resolve issues efficiently.
  • Perform corrective and preventive maintenance on facility equipment and production machinery to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
  • Liaise with vendors and contractors to procure machine spares and maintain adequate critical spare parts.
  • Respond to call backs for machine recovery at all times to minimize downtime and ensure business continuity.
  • Interpret technical drawings and make modifications and improvements to machine performance to enhance efficiency and productivity.
  • Prepare purchase requisitions and procure quotes to ensure timely and cost-effective procurement of materials and services.
  • Update daily work reports in the CMMS system and run order reports for maintenance stores to ensure accurate tracking and reporting of maintenance activities.
  • Support and participate in Employee Health & Safety, Quality & Continuous Improvement activities to promote a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Carry out any other duties as assigned by management to ensure the smooth operation of the maintenance team.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or granted refugee or asylee status).
