Job Title: Behavior Technician

Join our team at Public School of North Carolina as a Behavior Technician, where you will play a vital role in providing behavior support to students with challenging behaviors.

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated individual to join our team as a Behavior Technician. As a Behavior Technician, you will work closely with our behavior support team to develop and implement plans for individual students, providing them with the support they need to succeed.

Responsibilities
  • Participate in the development of behavior support plans for individual students
  • Implement behavior support plans for individual students
  • Assist in designing and creating student and classroom support systems
  • Collect data on the effectiveness of support and interventions
  • Assist in instruction of social and behavioral skills for individual students
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
  • High School diploma or GED certificate
  • 48 semester hours of college credit
  • Experience in challenging behavior or autism
Working Conditions

This position requires the ability to communicate effectively using speech, vision, and hearing, and the use of hands for simple grasping and fine manipulations. Work will entail bending, squatting, crawling, climbing, reaching, and the ability to lift, carry, push, or pull medium weights, up to 50 pounds.
