Train Conductor

CPKC is a leading railway company in North America, operating over 20,000 miles of track and providing essential goods transportation services across Canada, the U.S., and Mexico.

We are currently hiring for a Conductor position, which plays a critical role in our train operations. As a Conductor, you will be responsible for ensuring safe and efficient movement of trains, coordinating with other crew members, and adhering to strict safety protocols.

The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work well under pressure. They must also be willing to work unscheduled shift work, including days, evenings, overnight shifts, weekends, and holidays.

The Conductor position requires physical stamina, as you will be required to walk up to 6 miles per day on uneven ground, climb, lift, and pull heavy objects (up to 80 pounds on occasion). You must also be able to pass a pre-employment medical assessment, including a physical, vision, hearing, alcohol, and drug audit assessment.

In terms of career growth, this role can lead to opportunities as a Yard Foreperson, Locomotive Engineer, or management positions. CPKC provides comprehensive training, including 16 weeks of paid in-class and field training, which covers safety practices, rules, and operations.

We offer a competitive salary of $117,000 annually, with potential earnings up to $133,000, depending on experience.
