Key Responsibilities:

  • Routine replenishment of stocked items, ensuring timely delivery to meet customer needs.
  • Utilize expertise in mechanical, industrial, and manufacturing parts/products to source the best solutions.
  • Manage inventory levels in Point-of-Use areas, maintaining optimal stock levels to minimize waste.
  • Maintain data accuracy and recommend adjustments to reorder points based on usage patterns.
  • Direct spend through our established tier one vendor base, adhering to 'Drive the Spend' guidelines.
  • Source non-stock requirements, meeting customer delivery deadlines while ensuring supplier quality.
  • Assist in resolving supplier issues, collaborating with cross-functional teams to resolve billing discrepancies and shipment accuracy concerns.
Requirements and Qualifications:
  • Proficiency in SAP and Microsoft Office Suite, with experience in P21 systems a plus.
  • A high school degree or equivalent; a bachelor's degree is preferred.
  • A minimum of 3-5 years purchasing experience in manufacturing or industrial distribution environments.
  • Familiarity with standard purchasing practices and procedures.
  • Knowledge of industrial part nomenclatures.
  • Purchase Order management and EDI transmission capabilities.
  • Experience with PT/Bearings, Fasteners, and PPE, or similar industrial sectors.
  • The ability to effectively communicate with customers, managers, employees, and suppliers.
