Position Overview

Spectrum Center Schools and Programs is a progressive organization dedicated to making a positive impact in the lives of students with special needs. We are currently looking for Instructional Support Specialists to join our esteemed team. This role is designed for individuals who are passionate about education and eager to contribute to a supportive and innovative environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide tailored supervision and instruction to designated students, ensuring adherence to their Individualized Education Programs (IEP).
  • Engage with students through both group and individual instructional methods within the classroom and community settings.
  • Assist in enhancing students' community, vocational, leisure, domestic, academic, and social skills.
  • Implement educational curricula and behavioral intervention strategies that align with the goals outlined in the IEP/ITP/PBIP.
  • Conduct job coaching duties as needed, supporting students in developing appropriate work behaviors and essential employment skills.
  • Document observations and communicate insights to relevant staff, offering recommendations based on student progress.
Qualifications

Ideal candidates will possess:

  • Prior experience working with children, preferably in educational or classroom settings.
  • A willingness to drive or accompany students in transportation before and after school.
  • Proficiency in computer software applications, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
