Magnet Medical is seeking a skilled and dedicated Nuclear Medicine Imaging Specialist for a travel position in California. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for administering radioactive substances to patients, ensuring accurate diagnostic imaging results.

**About the Role**

Radiopharmaceutical Administration:

  • Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals to patients, adhering to safety protocols.
  • Monitor patients during administration, ensuring immediate adverse reactions or complications are addressed.
  • Properly dispose of radioactive materials according to established guidelines.

Imaging and Diagnostic Procedures:

  • Operate advanced nuclear medicine imaging equipment, including gamma cameras and PET scanners.
  • Perform diagnostic tests to capture detailed images of organs, tissues, and bones.
  • Position patients correctly for optimal imaging results, prioritizing patient comfort and safety.

Patient Interaction and Preparation:

  • Clearly explain imaging procedures to patients, alleviating concerns and ensuring informed consent.
  • Verify patient identity and medical history to ensure proper radiopharmaceutical use.
  • Prepare patients for imaging procedures, providing necessary physical support.

Image Analysis and Documentation:

  • Review images for diagnostic quality and accuracy.
  • Assist physicians and radiologists with preliminary image analysis and documentation.
  • Maintain accurate patient records, adhering to hospital or facility protocols.

Equipment Maintenance and Safety:

  • Perform routine maintenance and calibration of nuclear medicine imaging equipment.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues related to imaging equipment or radiopharmaceuticals.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulatory guidelines.

Compensation and Benefits:**

We offer a competitive salary range of $120,000 - $160,000 per annum, based on 40 hours of work per week, with tax-free stipends and benefits packages that meet your needs.
