Perianesthesia Nurse

We are seeking a highly skilled Perianesthesia Nurse to join our team at the Surgery Center of Fairbanks. As a Perianesthesia Nurse, you will be responsible for providing exceptional care to patients in the preoperative and recovery areas of our ambulatory surgery center.
Responsibilities
- Effectively organize time, equipment, supplies, and personnel to ensure efficient patient care.
- Use equipment effectively by anticipating patient needs and providing appropriate care.
- Confirm that proper techniques and procedures are used according to accepted standards of practice.
- Assist in managing inventory of supplies, drugs, and equipment to maintain availability and stock levels in the preoperative and postoperative areas.
- Maintain order and cleanliness of the preoperative and postoperative areas.
- Perform thorough preoperative and postoperative patient assessments.
- Provide preoperative and postoperative instruction and explanation of patient rights and responsibilities.
- Document patient care according to policy and procedure.
Requirements
- Current RN licensure in the state of Alaska.
- Experience in perianesthesia nursing or a related field.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
