POSITION:
As an AUTOMOTIVE PARTS SPECIALIST, your primary responsibility is to assist customers in purchasing retail parts through various channels including phone, counter service, and shop interactions.
COMPENSATION:
STARTING SALARY WITH INCENTIVES.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Guide customers in selecting the necessary components while suggesting additional items and highlighting current promotions to ensure they are aware of the full product range.
- Retrieve items from inventory and, if not in stock, check availability and place urgent orders as required.
- Manage incoming calls by providing pricing information and assisting outside sales representatives with their orders.
- Coordinate daily delivery orders and regularly check 'will call' and 'back order' files. Make calls to specific accounts as necessary.
- Assist technicians in identifying required parts for ongoing repairs.
- Open repair order envelopes for new requests.
- Source out-of-stock parts after consulting with Shop Foremen for anticipated repairs or customer returns.
- Notify relevant parties upon receipt of ordered items.
- Ensure technicians provide necessary documentation before processing parts charges.
- Deliver exceptional service to customers, demonstrating professionalism both in-person and over the phone.
- Extend the same level of service to internal departmental staff.
- Process part returns and issue credits following established procedures.
- Ensure proper authorization for all sales transactions, including tax-exempt sales.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of workspaces.
- Regularly restock assigned inventory and report any departmental issues to the Parts Manager.
- Stay informed about new products and participate in relevant training sessions.
- Collaborate with the Parts Manager to track lost sales.
- Maintain cleanliness of computer equipment on a daily basis.
- Operate company and customer vehicles as needed.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and report any incidents promptly.
- High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
- Ability to accurately understand and follow instructions.
- Minimum of one year of experience in an automotive parts department.
- Prior sales experience of at least one year.
- Professional appearance.
- Skilled in customer interaction, even during busy periods.
- Mandatory compliance with dealership uniform standards.

All candidates must successfully complete pre-employment assessments including background checks, driver record evaluations, drug screenings, and possess a valid driver's license.
