Emergency Operations Center Branch Director

Job Summary:

AC Disaster Consulting is seeking an experienced Emergency Operations Center Branch Director to join our team. As a key member of our emergency management team, you will be responsible for supervising and overseeing all Branch operations, ensuring effective implementation of strategies and coordination with other Branch Directors and the Operations Section Chief.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and oversee all Branch operations, ensuring effective implementation of strategies and coordination with other Branch Directors and the Operations Section Chief.
  • Collaborate with the Operations Section Chief and other Branch Directors to develop and coordinate incident tactics.
  • Conduct meetings with Emergency Support Functions (ESFs) to assign tasks and review progress.
  • Validate and review ESF contributions to the Situation Report and Incident Action Plan (IAP).
  • Attend IAP meetings and brief on tasks for upcoming operational periods.
  • Monitor progress, adjust plans as necessary, and resolve any logistics issues.
  • Maintain and update Standard Operating Guidelines (SOGs) and Job Aids for ESFs.
  • Attend meetings and conference calls with clients.
  • Participate in deployment teams to assist clients in emergency situations and/or activations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Emergency Management or other applicable field.
  • Experience and knowledge of working within the Incident Command Framework at state or federal levels.
  • Experience with financial management applications.
  • Experience working in an Emergency Operations Center or disaster response.
  • Capable of critical decision-making in a highly charged and dynamic environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office 365, particularly Excel.
  • The following training courses must be completed prior to requesting the task book: IS-100, IS-200, ICS-300, ICS-400 IS-700, IS-800, E/G/L-0191, E/L-0958, O-0305

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proficient with Salesforce.
  • Five or more years professional experience in emergency management.
  • Master's degree in Emergency Management or a related field.
  • Applicable Certifications: Certified Emergency Manager (CEM)
  • Proficient with Web EOC
  • ICS position-specific certification preferred.

Additional Information:

  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Eligibility to work in the United States without employer-sponsored visa is required.
  • Must pass company and any applicable client background check and reference check upon offer of employment.
