Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Dimensional Inspector II to join our team at NESC Staffing. As a key member of our quality assurance team, you will be responsible for performing complex inspections in the production process, including routine and non-routine visual, dimensional, mechanical, test and functional set-ups and inspections.

Key Responsibilities
  • Efficiently plan and perform routine and non-routine mechanical inspections using pre-determined methods for product acceptability.
  • Verify inspection data with double gaging to assure integrity and resolve discrepancies found during part inspection.
  • Use the company operating system to generate inquiries, perform movement of material, create job routings and any other function required to perform job duties.
  • Implement expedient methods of inspection in order to maintain product flow in accordance with company directives.
  • Use corrective action system and subsequent follow up process to resolve deficiencies found during job function.
  • Assume administrative duties in the absence of supervision in order to comply with company directives.
  • Communicate effectively to supervision regarding problems and corrective action.
  • Seek and act upon ways to improve daily work processes to enhance quality and productivity, and satisfy customer needs and expectations.
Requirements
  • 3+ years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Proficiency with surface plate layout techniques with traditional measuring devices (e.g., indicators, height gages, calipers, micrometers).
  • Drawing reading, including working knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerances.
  • Basic MS Word and Excel skills.
  • Rudimentary knowledge of components, assemblies and product form, fit and function.
Working Conditions

Able to lift up to 40 lbs. Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) required for specified activities.
