POSITION SUMMARY

CORA Services is a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting youth, children, and families facing emotional, academic, and social challenges that hinder their development and productivity. With recognition as a top workplace in Philadelphia, CORA has been providing valuable assistance for over 50 years across the greater Philadelphia area.

CORA is currently in search of a Secondary Mathematics Educator to collaborate within a multi-disciplinary team, delivering remedial and diagnostic services to identified students. This role also involves providing consultative support to educational personnel, parents, and CORA staff.

COMPENSATION:
Salary: BA level $46,757 | MA level $49,679
Salary adjustments based on additional qualifications and experience.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Embrace the mission, vision, and values of CORA Services, which include valuing all individuals, fostering personal growth, and enhancing a pragmatic service system approach.
  • Deliver remedial, diagnostic, and consultative services to students, parents, and educational personnel.
  • Organize appropriate groups and schedule instructional periods.
  • Make suitable referrals for children requiring additional support.
  • Track educational progress against established objectives outlined in the student's Learning Plan.
  • Comply with agency guidelines and requirements regarding caseload management and accountability.
  • Engage in all necessary interdisciplinary functions, including regular meetings.
  • Prepare reports as required.
  • Communicate and collaborate effectively with principals, teachers, and parents.
Title I Responsibilities:
  • Develop Title I Eligibility List.
  • Instruct Title I students in small groups for 25-30 instructional periods per week.
  • Adhere to Title I guidelines and requirements concerning caseload management and accountability.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the Director of Education, as necessary.
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited teaching program.
  • Pennsylvania Teaching Certificate in Special Education or Mathematics Education.
EXPERIENCE/KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS:
  • Strong working knowledge in the field of education.
