Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) / EMT-Paramedic to join our team at BAE Systems USA. As an EMT / EMT-P, you will play a critical role in promoting worker safety, managing injuries and illnesses, and returning workers to their duties in a respectful and efficient manner.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act as a professional medical technician at the shipyard, promoting a culture of safety and health
  • Assist in managing injuries and illnesses, and help return workers to their duties
  • Champion healthy work conditions, supporting efforts to reduce or eliminate health hazards for employees
  • Assist in the administration of the company's Occupational Health and Safety program
  • Ensure compliance with Occupational Health and Safety regulations set by Federal OSHA and other agencies
Requirements
  • Typically requires a High School Diploma (or the equivalent) plus a current EMT certification
  • 2 years experience in a related role, such as an EMT, EMT-P, Nurse, etc.
  • Experience working in an Emergency Room, Trauma, or related EMS environment
  • Flexibility to support varying shifts as needed (1st, 2nd, 3rd, weekends, holidays)
  • Able to obtain and maintain a Department of Defense Biometric Identification System badge
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Computer skills to effectively work with Microsoft Office and industry-related software applications
Preferred Qualifications
  • 2 years recent EMS/Trauma experience
  • Experience working in a shipyard environment
