Job Summary:

The Chemical Handler 2 Position at Huntington Ingalls Industries is responsible for controlling and monitoring chemicals within the company facility or manufacturing production organization in accordance with federal, state, and local regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor chemicals, related equipment, and waste system indicators to ensure proper system functioning and chemical solution balance.
  • Remove and dispose of waste chemicals, solvents, and acids, and inspect hazardous waste production and storage units.
  • Maintain operational logs and perform chemical spills cleanup.
  • Verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures.

Requirements:

  • High School/GED and 2 years of additional education and/or experience.
  • Previous experience with handling Radioactive Material is a plus.
