Role Overview:

The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) plays a crucial role in delivering direct nursing care and assisting residents with their daily activities under the supervision of a Licensed Nurse, as outlined in the resident care plan.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure that residents' personal care needs are met through regular check-ins and prompt responses to call lights.
  • Deliver care to residents as specified in their care plans, reviewing any changes daily.
  • Communicate any observed changes in residents' conditions to the charge nurse for assessment.
  • Assist residents with personal care tasks, including grooming, bathing, oral hygiene, feeding, and toileting.
  • Perform assigned tasks by the charge nurse, such as taking vital signs, recording weights, and collecting specimens.
  • Safely lift, move, and transfer residents using appropriate methods and equipment as required by their care plans.

Qualifications:

A high school diploma or equivalent knowledge and skills gained through a combination of education, training, and experience.

  • Effective communication skills in English with residents, visitors, and staff.
