Job Overview

At HourlyWork, we're seeking a dedicated and compassionate Caregiver to join our team. As a Caregiver, you will play a vital role in providing daily support and supervision to individuals with autism or intellectual disability, enabling them to live as independently and safely as possible.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Provide a supportive and caring environment by attending to individual needs, respecting differences, and promoting growth and independence;
  2. Maintain the home and its furnishings, including minor indoor and outdoor tasks;
  3. Attend to the health needs of each individual, including necessary appointments, proper diet and exercise, and administering medication as required;
  4. Collaborate with program staff to address individual problems and refer serious issues to the Supervisor;
  5. Assist in managing household budgets and individual expenditures;
  6. Attend meetings and training as required;
  7. Prepare reports as needed;
  8. Oversee and assist with daily home operations, including general housekeeping, cooking, laundry, shopping, and lawn care;
  9. Act as host for potential referrals and visitors;
  10. Provide transportation for individuals as required;
  11. Perform sleepover or overnight awake shifts, as needed;
  12. Other duties may be assigned.
