Job Summary

The Detroit Medical Center (DMC) Registered Nurse (RN) is a key member of the Patient Care Services Team, responsible for delivering high-quality patient care in the Labor and Delivery department. As a contingent rotate RN, you will provide care to patients and their families, working collaboratively with physicians and other healthcare providers to ensure excellent patient outcomes.

Responsibilities
  • Establish and maintain effective relationships with physicians and other healthcare providers
  • Delegate, assess, provide, and evaluate patient care
  • Provide and delegate patient care activities to team members
  • Monitor patient progress and prepare patients for discharge
  • Report directly to senior unit management and participate in shared decision-making activities
Qualifications
  • Graduation from a school of nursing required
  • BSN preferred
  • Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of Michigan required
  • American Heart Association (AHA) BLS required
