Health Images is seeking a skilled PRN MRI Technologist to support our Parker location.
Job Summary:We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented MRI Technologist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing MRI procedures, maintaining patient safety, and contributing to the overall success of our imaging department.
Key Responsibilities:- Interface with patients to obtain medical history and provide instructions on procedures.
- Review patient charts for missed clinical information and screen patients for surgical and other implants, contrast allergies, etc.
- Obtain prior films/exams as needed and perform high-quality scans to submit to the Radiologist for interpretation.
- Perform exams while attending to patient care before, during, and following the exam and notify the appropriate party if the patient's condition changes.
- Transfer images to other locations as needed.
- Coordinate scan protocols with the Radiologist.
- Maintain and regularly inspect equipment and report any quality concerns or equipment failures.
- Interface with Lead Technologist and Center/Area Manager regarding departmental concerns.
- Two plus years' experience in Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) - preferred.
- Ability to educate patients on procedures being performed.
- Detail-oriented, self-motivated, a problem solver, and a team player.
- Ability to navigate multiple computer screens and browsers quickly and accurately.
- Ability to excel in a fast-paced team environment.
- Ability to continuously 'exceed' company and customer expectations.
- Strong communication skills and professional demeanor.
- Graduate of an accredited Registered Technologist program.
- Current American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) certification with Registry in Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MR) or current American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMRIT).
- Current license from state medical board (if applicable).
- Current CPR certification.
