About the Role

The Staff Nurse, RN is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care to a designated group of patients in the Labor and Delivery department. The nurse will establish goals and priorities of nursing care, develop a written plan of nursing care that includes patient education and discharge planning, and document care given with patient progress.

The successful candidate will have strong communication and teamwork skills, be able to work effectively in a dynamic environment, and demonstrate a commitment to providing high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities
  • Assess patients' physical and emotional needs
  • Develop and implement individualized plans of care
  • Provide direct patient care, including administering medications and treatments
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient interactions and care provided
Requirements
  • Currenly licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse by state of employment or holds a multistate RN license through the interstate Nurse Licensure Compact
  • AHA BLS prior to end of orientation period
