About the Role

The Cardiac Telemetry Nurse Specialist is responsible for coordinating and implementing patient care with a focus on delivering exceptional nursing practice. This role requires a valid nursing license in Tennessee and certifications such as BLS and ACLS, alongside experience in various medical fields including telemetry and critical care. With a commitment to patient well-being, you will provide assessments, plan care, administer medications, and ensure adherence to hospital policies while maintaining a supportive environment for patients and staff.

In this dynamic role, you will have the opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment and develop your skills in patient assessment, care planning, and medication administration. You will also contribute to the development of our nursing team by sharing your knowledge and expertise with colleagues.

Responsibilities
  • Perform comprehensive assessments on all patients within the appropriate time frame, utilizing skills of observation, communication, and examination.
  • Plan individualized patient care, identifying problems/needs, nursing diagnosis, standards of care/practice, interventions consistent with identified problems, and attainable outcomes.
  • Develop and implement plans for patient teaching, discharge, and post-discharge needs as appropriate for the patient population.
  • Function independently with treatments, procedures, and equipment appropriate to areas, evidenced by adherence to policy, procedure, and competency-based assessment and no pattern or trend of problems.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Earned a nursing diploma or degree from a college or university.
  • Licensed in the State of Tennessee.
  • BLS certification within 90 days of hire.
  • Certifications such as Basic Arrhythmia, ACLS, and Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI) within 6 months of hire, depending on the specific unit assignment.
  • Experience in various medical fields, including telemetry and critical care.

Estimated Salary

$83,415 - $105,525 per year, based on location and experience.
