Security Operations Engineer

As a key player in our security team, you will be responsible for protecting our company's computer systems, networks, and data against threats, such as security breaches, computer viruses, and cyber attacks.

Beyond the Skydio Security team, you will work closely with IT, Cloud, and Engineering teams to develop and implement advanced security protocols and measures, respond to security incidents, and provide guidance on security best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop dashboards, automated alerts, and access controls.
  • Manage and configure access controls and management systems.
  • Lead the response to security breaches and incidents, including forensic analysis and mitigation.
  • Collaborate with IT, Cloud, and Engineering teams to integrate security practices into the development lifecycle.
  • Provide training and guidance to staff on security policies and procedures.
  • Develop and maintain documentation related to security operations, incident response, and compliance activities.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in information security, particularly in security operations or a similar role.
  • Expertise in Python.
  • Strong understanding of operating systems, network protocols, architecture, and security vulnerabilities.
  • Coding experience relevant to automating security tasks, log aggregation and analysis, and device management.
  • Experience managing security technologies (SIEM, IDS/IPS, EDR, malware analysis, and protection).
