Perfusionist Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Perfusionist to join our team at Community Regional Medical Center in Fresno, CA. As a Perfusionist, you will be responsible for operating extra-corporeal equipment, providing care, and supporting activities appropriate for ages served.

Key Responsibilities

As a Perfusionist, you will:

  • Set up and manage cardiopulmonary bypass systems, intra-aortic balloon pumps, and other extracorporeal systems.
  • Assist in the implantation and monitoring of ventricular assist devices and ECMO circuits.
  • Select, assemble, and test heart-lung machines to ensure proper function.
  • Operate heart-lung machines to regulate blood circulation and composition during surgery or respiratory/cardiac failure.
  • Monitor patient physiologic variables and adjust equipment to maintain normal body functions.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A graduate degree from an accredited perfusion program.
  • Credentialed by the CMC Medical Staff Office as an Allied Health Professional.
  • Current certifications in CCP, BLS, and ACLS.
