Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Ride Maintenance Manager to join our team at Cedar Point. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing mechanical maintenance plans, policies, and operations functions to ensure the safe and efficient operation of our rides and attractions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintenance Planning and Execution: Develop and implement maintenance plans, policies, and procedures to ensure the safe and efficient operation of our rides and attractions.
  • Team Leadership: Provide direction and leadership to the Ride Maintenance Supervisor and associates, ensuring they have the necessary tools, training, and support to perform their duties effectively.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Utilize effective communication to ensure all team members understand the expectations and goals of the department, and collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless operations.
  • Cost Management: Develop and manage operating budgets, analyzing costs and developing forecasts to ensure accurate planning and execution.
  • Ride Reliability and Performance: Evaluate and prioritize improvements to ride reliability and performance, ensuring a positive guest experience.
  • Vendor Management: Work with vendors and manufacturers to improve the reliability of our attractions, identifying cost-saving measures and maintaining the integrity of our designs and systems.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure that all maintenance activities are performed to the highest standards, following company policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree or vocational/technical certification preferred.
  • Experience: 1-3 years of supervisor and/or leadership experience, with demonstrated mechanical/electrical maintenance experience and supervisory/management experience.
  • Skills: Valid US driver's license, ability to pass a mandatory drug test, and ability to pass a background check.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, UKG, and JDE; ability to work nights, weekends, and holiday periods to meet business needs.
